Banks To Start Requesting For PVCs?

 One instrument that virtually every Nigerian adult have now is the Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs). The card which will be used for the forthcoming election is now an asset to many.

Though designed to enable the holders participate in the the electioneering process, Nigerians are already hoping that the cards will be useful beyond the elections.

While some believe it may be requested for in future, especially for those that have one business or the other to transact with government agencies, a sizable number of Nigerians, especially bank customers,  are seeing the cards as alternatives to other forms of identification in the  banks.

This is because in the past, banks have requested for the temporary voters card as a form of identification.It is also worthy to note that the PVC is also one of the credible data base of Nigeria and can be employed by government for such exercises like the National ID card scheme, census, job opportunities, empowerment programmes e.t.c
